The aim of the work is the study of the influence on the effectiveness of the treatment of patients with chronic catarrhal gingivitis, developed simultaneously to hepatobiliary pathology (HBP), with hepatoprotector quercethin and prebiotic inulin. 85 patients at the age of 25-49 years old (diagnosis – chronic cholecystitis or hepatolith) and 15 healthy people (control group) were observed. 45 patients (the main group) took quercethin (80mg per day) and inulin from chicory (3g per day) in addition to the basic scheme of treatment of gingivitis. The rest of the patients underwent only the basic treatment. In the patients with gingivitis simultaneous to HBP salivation reduces, indices of hygiene and gingivitis grow, in saliva the level of biochemical markers of inflammation (elastase and MDA), microbe insemination (urease) increase, the activity of lysozyme and catalase as well as antioxidant-prooxidant index API decreases. On the contrary, the enzymatic index of the degree of dysbiosis grows almost by 12 times. The prescription of inulin and quercethin in addition to the basic treatment improves considerably the state of periodontium and biochemical indices of saliva.
